Draft, critique, rewrite
The model writes, then looks for weaknesses in its own text, then rewrites with them in hand.

A model asked to “write it well” produces an average text: smooth, missing the point, padded. The same model asked to find specific weaknesses in its own text finds them — and with those in hand rewrites markedly better.
What is inside
- What to write about — the entry.
- The draft — the model’s first pass.
- Critique of the draft — the second: what is unclear to the reader, where the point is missing, what to cut. The prompt explicitly forbids rewriting — notes only.
- The final — the third: the same text with every note addressed.
Separating critique from rewriting carries the weight. Asking for “improve this” in one pass gets you the same text rephrased: there is nothing for the model to fix until it has named what is wrong.
What to set up for yourself
- All three prompts. The first sets the genre, the second what an editor looks for, the third what to return. The second matters most.
- The number of passes. Two rounds of critique is almost always enough; after a third the text flattens into blandness.
- Different models per step. All three nodes use one Model node; the critique can go to a stronger model while the draft stays on a cheap one.
What to connect
Nothing. Mind the cost: a turn is three times the price and three times the wait. For a customer letter or a job ad that pays off; for a chat reply it does not.
