A digest of the whole inbox still means reading a digest. The question you want answered in the morning is different: whose work am I holding up? Those are the emails with a question, a request or a promise in them, and there are usually three.
What is inside
- Scheduled trigger — the entry.
- Mail — the connection node.
- Unread messages fetches what has accumulated.
- Only the ones waiting on you — the model, and here it throws most of it away: newsletters, receipts, service notifications, auto-replies.
- The list email sends the result.
That is the whole difference from the morning digest, and it is the important one. A digest lists everything; a list of three is more useful than a list of forty even though the second carries more information.
What to set up for yourself
- What counts as “waiting”. The prompt draws the line. For some people an invoice from a contractor is a wait; for others it is not.
- The line format. Currently sender, subject, and what they want in one phrase. The last part matters most — it is what lets you decide between now and this evening.
- The empty case. The prompt asks for “nobody is waiting”. An email saying that beats no email at all: silence is indistinguishable from a breakage.

A mailbox over IMAP and the Schedule target. An app password, not your normal mail password.
