VK bot

A scenario answers in a VK community’s direct messages and in conversations: it receives messages and attachments and sends text, files and buttons — the same graph nodes as Telegram.

Connecting

  1. In the community, enable Messages and Bot capabilities, then create a community access token (Manage → API usage → Access tokens) with the messages permission.
  2. Create a VK connection in Settings → Integrations and paste the token. The community id is detected automatically — you do not have to type it.
  3. Open the scenario → Publication tab → VK channel, pick the community and press Publish.

The callback server registers itself: the platform hands VK the address and the secret, answers the ownership challenge and subscribes to the events it needs. Long Poll is not used — messages arrive over HTTPS and nothing is polled.

Triggers

In direct messages the bot answers everything. In a conversation it answers a mention, a reply to its own message, or a configured phrase; anything else is noise and starts no run. Membership events (joins and leaves) are enabled separately.

Buttons

The vk_keyboard node sends a keyboard: rows of buttons carrying a caption, a command and a colour. A tap arrives as an event and the graph reads trigger.vk.payload.command and args.

The client reports on every message whether it can draw buttons. When it cannot, the keyboard is dropped but the text still arrives — sending it anyway would make VK reject the whole message, leaving the user with nothing.

Diagnostics

The channel panel has a check: it asks VK whether bots are enabled for the community, whether the registered callback server is ours, and whether the event set matches. Start there when the bot does not answer.

Conversation history

VK’s API does not hand a bot past correspondence, so the history is what the bot recorded itself while it was in the conversation. Recording is opt-in and off by default; the depth is capped by the plan. With it on, the vk_history and vk_search nodes and the vk_tools agent tool have something to read.
